Located 5 kilometers from Arrecife, near the main tourist resort of Puerto del Carmen Lanzarote airport has frequent scheduled and chartered flights from destinations all over Europe and local internal flights to the other Canary islands.

There are also Disabled facilities which include ramps, wheelchair accessible doors and toilets. Most airlines also provide passengers with wheelchairs if needed.
There are two terminals at Lanzarote airport, Terminal one is for international flights and is divided into two floors - Departures being on the upper level and arrivals on the lower.
Terminal two is used for national and inter-island flights.
Some flights get the 'tunnel' treatment but at busy times the plane parks a little distance from the terminal. Buses are laid on to take you there.
Lanzarote airport has a small selection of cafes, restaurants and shops in the departure area, with a bureau de change and a few Cash Machines.
Shops are open from 7:30am till 10pm.
The 'Duty Free' shops in the departure area are more expensive than normal supermarkets - so before you leave your resort buy your booze, fags, cameras and perfume there.
If you are traveling on a package holiday and have a coach transfer to your resort, look out for your representative who will sort you out.
Taxis are parked straight in front of you as you come out of the arrivals area from the main airport building.
